What is CBD?

CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is one of a large number of cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.

At CBDDirect2U, we extract all our CBD using a more delicate method than is frequently used and then blend it with top grade coconut oil for maximum flavour – containing medium chain triglycerides – to create our unique CBD oil.

We take our CBD from plants that have been grown without the use of any chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilisers. We also use hemp plants which are GMO-free, naturally sourced, hand-picked and air dried in Oregon.

So how does CBD work in the body?

Like all mammals, we all have an endocannabinoid system. This system plays a crucial role in regulating a broad range of processes from our blood pressure and immune activity to how we experience pain and stress.

CBD is a phytocannabinoid, derived from the Cannabis Sativa plant, and can influence our body in the same way as endocannabinoids.

Finding the best CBD product to suit you is a personal choice, as is the optimum dosage for your body. Different methods of taking CBD will have different outcomes because of how it is absorbed by your body.

It is why we would recommend starting with a low dose and building up until you find what dose works for you (up to a maximum 24-hour dose of 70mg).

There are different kinds of CBD products available. We concentrate on CBD oils and CBD soft gels, two of the commonest methods of taking CBD.

At CBDDirect2U, we sell CBD as a food supplement. As such we can’t make, nor do we, any medical claims in relation to our product. The reasons you may wish to take CBD have to be your own. We encourage you to do your own research though as it really is an interesting subject.
