CBD – how much should you take?

We are often asked by customers how much CBD they should take.

If you are new to CBD we would advise starting with our lowest strength 4% oil or soft gel capsules and slowly building up until you find the optimum dosage for yourself.

As a food supplement, the maximum daily adult dose of CBD recommended by the FSA is now 70mg in any 24-hour period.

Taking a CBD oil gives you the most flexibility when it comes to dosage as you can start with a very low dose and build up to 1-3 drops up to two or three times per day.

After shaking the oil well, drop it directly under your tongue and then hold it for 60-90 seconds before swallowing.

Our 10ml bottles of 4% CBD oil contain 400mg of CBD (each small droplet will be approximately 2mg) while our 10% CBD oil contains 1,000mg CBD (each droplet will be approx. 5mg). Our bigger 100ml bottles of 10% CBD oil contain 10,000mg CBD.

Our soft gel capsules are a convenient alternative way to take CBD oil. Each of our lower dose capsule contains 10mg CBD so the maximum recommended amount that could be taken in any 24 hours is 7 capsules (70mg).

If you are taking our 25mg CBD soft gel capsules then the recommended daily dose would be a maximum of 2 capsules per day. Take with a full glass of water.

It is a good idea to keep track of what time of day you are taking CBD and the size of the dose.
